Getting Started

1. Add Your First Property

Tap the "+" button on the properties screen. Enter your property details including name, address, and type (home, condo, rental, etc.). Add a photo to easily identify it.

2. Log Maintenance Events

Select a property and tap "Add Maintenance." Record the type of work (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.), date, cost, and any notes. Attach photos of receipts or the work performed.

3. Set Up Reminders

Create recurring reminders for seasonal maintenance tasks. Stell will notify you when it's time to change filters, service the furnace, clean gutters, and more.

4. Enable iCloud Sync

Go to Settings and enable iCloud sync to access your property data across all your Apple devices. Your data syncs automatically whenever changes are made.

How many properties can I track?

The free version allows you to track 1 property. Purchase the unlimited properties upgrade to manage as many homes, rentals, or vacation properties as you need.

Does Stell sync across my devices?

Yes! Stell uses iCloud to sync your data across all your Apple devices. Enable iCloud sync in the app settings to keep your properties and maintenance records up to date on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Can I export my maintenance records?

Yes, you can export maintenance records as a PDF or CSV. This is great for sharing with property managers, preparing tax documents, or keeping offline backups.

Can I attach photos to maintenance records?

Yes! Attach photos to any maintenance event. This is perfect for documenting issues, storing receipts, keeping warranty information, or showing before/after of repairs.

What types of reminders can I set?

You can set one-time or recurring reminders. Common examples include HVAC filter replacement (monthly), gutter cleaning (seasonal), furnace inspection (yearly), smoke detector battery checks, and more.

I purchased the upgrade but it's not working

Try these steps: (1) Restart the app completely. (2) Check your App Store purchase history to confirm the purchase went through. (3) Make sure you're using the same Apple ID. (4) Tap "Restore Purchases" in Settings. (5) If issues persist, contact us.

Troubleshooting

Data not syncing between devices

Make sure iCloud is enabled in Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud. Verify that Stell has permission to use iCloud Drive. Try signing out and back into iCloud if issues persist. Ensure both devices are connected to the internet.

Reminders not appearing

Check that notifications are enabled for Stell in your device Settings > Notifications. Also ensure "Do Not Disturb" is not active when you expect reminders.

Photos not appearing

Check that Stell has permission to access your photos in Settings > Privacy > Photos. If using iCloud sync, large photos may take a moment to download on other devices.

App crashes on launch

Make sure you have the latest version from the App Store. Try restarting your device. If the issue continues, delete and reinstall the app. Your iCloud data will be preserved and will sync back automatically.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. Here is how Stell handles your data.

Data Storage

Your property and maintenance data is stored locally on your device and synced via iCloud to your other Apple devices. Your data is stored in your personal iCloud account, which is encrypted and managed by Apple. We do not have access to your data on our servers.

iCloud Sync

Stell uses Apple's CloudKit framework to sync data between your devices. This means your data stays within Apple's secure iCloud infrastructure and is protected by your Apple ID credentials. We never have access to your synced data. You can disable iCloud sync at any time in the app settings.

No Tracking

Stell does not include any analytics, advertising, or tracking frameworks. We do not collect usage data, personal information, or behavioral patterns. Your home and property information stays completely private.

In-App Purchases

If you choose to purchase the unlimited properties upgrade, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or any financial details. We only store a simple flag indicating whether you have purchased the upgrade.

Photos & Documents

Photos and documents you attach to maintenance records are stored locally and synced via iCloud if enabled. These files are never uploaded to our servers. Access to your photo library requires your explicit permission.

Local Notifications

Maintenance reminders are scheduled and managed entirely on your device by iOS. No data is sent to remote servers for notification purposes.
